Riley had an active week at school. This week the class explored paper. The types of paper they played with were paper towels, notebook paper, construction paper, and sandwich paper. Riley crumpled the different paper and tasted each one. He was very happy with the construction paper.

Other explorations at school included the infant play yard. They started out on blankets but through the week began to explore the artificial grass. Riley seems to prefer the grass and even invited daddy to experience it with him. The best part of the play yard for Riley is watching the older kids move around. Riley is so ready to be on the move.

Speaking of on the move, Riley got his new carseat!!! Riley hated the car, would scream from the minute you buckled him in until the second he was out. We finally figured it out, he hated his infant carseat. Riley does not recline. He will lay flat or he will stand up, but there is no propped up position that is acceptable. If he is propped up even a little he tries to sit up. We finally discovered it was the crunches he was complaining about. Now with his new carseat he just stares out the window, or he reads a book (as shown).

But I think Riley's favorite discovery was coke. He caught a glimpse of my coke can and couldn't take his eyes off of it. He watched it go up and down and would follow it to the table. When I noticed, I put it close enough for him to grab it and he was delighted that it was cold. He giggled and couldn't stop smiling. Once he got a good grasp on it, he pulled it to his mouth and tried to drink (or slobber on) it. He is a true Onufer that's for sure.
