It started out with so much potential. We all decided to go to Vegas to celebrate Uncle Greg's birthday. Cameron was very excited, she loves to travel. We met up with Uncle Greg and Aunt Juliet and got upgraded to First Class (Daddy is good at that). We took a limo to the the Palazzo and checked into our room. We had a great view of the Wynn and its golf course. Cameron went straight to the window and spotted the pool, she immediately wanted to go for a swim. Instead we waited for Grandma Cindy to arrive and ordered champagne to toast Uncle Greg.
Cameron enjoyed the toast and the chocolate covered strawberries and then we headed off to the Hoffbrau House, the real motivation for the trip. Given that it was Octoberfest made the visit even more fun. The bad was fun and Cameron danced to the music and gave them a tip. Riley was so tired he slept through it all, and poor daddy had to hold him the whole night.
And then it all went bad. We got back to the hotel really late and went to bed. A few hours later Cameron woke up sick (all over the place) and a high fever. We spent the rest of the night trying to help her feel better. Thank goodness the bathrooms have tv.
The next couple of days were spent in the hotel room trying to keep Cameron comfortable. Riley luckily took it all in stride. He enjoyed the Palazzo beds and continued to experiment with putting everything he could reach in his mouth.
Although the kids didn't get to hang out with Uncle Greg very much, Daddy did take a trip out to see the Valley of Fire with him. If you haven't been there, its well worth a visit! On our last night there, Cameron started to feel better and demanded Cheerios. She has been eating them non stop ever since. Its weird she would ask for Cheerios because she hasn't had them in about a year. Oh well, when you get a craving...
