Lola & Calvin are the guinea pigs adopted by the Wetlands daycare in 2009. Lola is a peruvian brown and white female who is very vocal about what she likes and does not. Calvin is an abyssian who is much quieter tri-color. The kids help care for their friends and give them lots of good treats of fruits and veggies (all organic).
The guinea pigs also act as the subjects for the children for sculptures, painting, etc. Calvin and Lola took particular interest in what Cameron was creating for them. Cameron drew a picture of Calvin for Lola. It included a self-portrait of Cameron watching him through the cage.
Although the guineas are often shy, as they were singing excitedly Cameron leaned down to listen. Lola surprised everyon and gave Cameron a kiss. Cameron now asks to bring Lola home so she can keep her in the castle.... Maybe we will guinea-sit sometime.
