My buddy, Hannah!

Cameron has a new buddy, Hannah. Its taken awhile but Cameron really likes to hang out with Hannah. She will ask to go see Hannah and this weekend spent a day at Hannah's house. They just hung out for awhile enjoying the toys.

Cameron has been painting since she was 3 months old, but Hannah had never painted. Cameron figured since Hannah was 7 months old now, that she would show Hannah how much fun painting could really be.

Cameron proceeded to show Hannah the joys of body paint. She also showed her how to paint on other mediums like paper plates and constuction paper. Hannah was very interested in Cameron's methods.

Cameron also discovered how much fun it was to paint a baby (this may have not been a great idea). Hannah really seemed to enjoy the experience and Cameron really liked showing her the ropes. It was a great day with Hannah.

Good Eater

Cameron has always been a good eater. She isn't really picky about her food and eats lots of fruit and vegetables. She feeds herself and uses her own utensils, most of the time.

She got a special treat this week when Sonya, David, and her buddy Hannah came over. Hannah is 6 months now and is starting to eat solids. Cameron was very interested in Hannah eating and Sonya let Cameron try her hand at feeding Hannah. Cameron did a great job and Hannah really liked the big scoops that Cameron put on the spoon.

As a special treat when she was done, she was rewarded with her own ice cream cone for a job well done. Man does she love ice cream...

Its a Rat!!

So Cameron has chores. She has to feed PJ and unload the sodas into the refridgerator. She loves her chores, and when their done we get to do something fun. Today we decided to go the pet store so she could visit the animals.

We saw the fish and turtles and its pretty normal for Cameron to be able to identify both of those. But to Mommy's surprise when we got to the rodent section, she proudly announced, "Its a Rat!" We didn't even know she knew what a rat was, but she absolutely did.

While at the pet store Cameron got some treats and toys for PJ. She really likes to pet PJ. She thinks its really funny that she can make him get out of her way even though he is bigger than her. She walks up to him and leans on him when she wants him to move. He always obliges but will shoot us a look like, "Do you see what she is doing here?"

Children's Discovery Museum

We've been wanting to take Cameron to the Children's Museum for a long time but waited until she was old enough to really enjoy it. It was a really great visit. She explored the Toddler room that had puppets, a projector room, and giant blocks. She got to do some ice art projects where she decorated the ice with glitter and painted it with dripper bottles.

After the toddler room we explored her favorite room which had to be the water room. This room had water tables where she got to put balls through a whirlpool, shoot balls through water pipes, pour water through mazes, etc etc. Thank goodness they had raincoats to wear. We all got pretty wet in this room.

After the water room we explored some of the big cars, she got to go through a pizza truck, ambulance, stage coach, satellite, and her favorite (daddy's too) the firetruck. Then we went into the bubble area. Cameron wasn't really sure what to do here but was very happy when mommy created giant bubbles she could pop. This led into the science room where this month they were studying circles. Cameron got to play with several circle experiments.

And finally before we left, Cameron got to see a jazz band play. She had a front row seat and got a blues hat and met the very cool dancing Rhino. It was a super busy day but lots of fun. You can see all the picture of her Museum visit here.

Just me and my dog

Thank goodness its the weekend. After a long week of school, Cameron just wanted to hang out this weekend. She and PJ needed some time just to have fun. They decided it would be nice to go for a walk and spent lots of time at the little play structure around the corner.

Cameron took out her car and PJ just went with the leash. PJ ran around the play structure and then let Cameron do her thing while he took a break. He kept an eye out for any trouble.

After some time on the play structure, PJ showed Cameron around the oak tree. He pointed out the acorns and how yummy they could be. Although Mommy tried really hard to keep them out of both of their mouths.

Both Cameron and PJ enjoyed walking on the rock wall, that is until PJ decided to switch places with Cameron. Cameron took a dive off the wall and that was the end of playtime. No worries though, she was just fine and wasn't mad at PJ at all. She liked being able to take the leash and walk him home herself (well she had "some" help).

Let me show you how to use legos....

Cameron and her best pal Turtle love to play legos together. Cameron likes to stack the legos up very very tall. She gets so happy when Turtle comes over. He gets on the floor with her and lets her teach him how legos work.

She stacks the legos up higher and higher until the legos all tip over. This is very very funny to Cameron. She laughs so hard that everyone in the room can't help but laugh too. Her sense of humor is really great and she keeps us all entertained. If anyone is interested in learning how legos work, Cameron would be happy to show you if you come by.
