Redlands, CA - Roadtrip!

This weekend we went on a roadtrip! Its the first roadtrip we've taken in a long time. We drove down to Southern California to visit Uncle Frank and Tia Diane. It was much warmer at their place but they let me swim in the hot tub.

My favorite part of the trip was Stella. I chased her all around the house and just hung out with her. We stared out the windows and went through the kitchen and outside, then inside. Of course I did not follow her onto the grass. I hate the grass.

Uncle Nicho took a break from his weekend of concerts to see me. I was so happy to see him again. We hung out and caught up on old times.

We all went for a walk around Redlands historic neighborhoods and through some of the orchards. Because it was so sunny I had to put on sunscreen. Sunscreen is very cold.

We walked all the way to the Kimberly Crest House where someone was having a fancy wedding and everyone played bacci ball on the way home. Seemed like fun, but mommy and I just watched. It was a great visit. I hope we get to do it again soon.

Bring Your Daughter to Work Day

While Cameron goes to Google Daycare everyday, she doesn't visit mommy at the office too often. Since it was Bring your Daughter (Child) to Work day I decided to go pick Cameron up for a few hours to hang with mommy.

The good thing about my office is there are lots of toys all over the place. She found something to entertain her in every office she visited. She got lots of attention and had a good time with everyone including all the dogs.

Cameron even got to spend some time with mommy's mentor who took special care to make sure Cameron was introduced to all the neat things around the office. Alan let her play with his endangered species cards and showed her all the different things she could do with the styrofoam from the server boxes. She was having such a good time with Alan that she barely wanted to leave. She is geeky enough to hang out with the rest of it, I love it.

Week of the Young Child

So Cameron was happy to be back at school after taking a week off. She was very sick with a virus that made us all very unhappy. She missed the first few days of "Week of the Young Child", but the teacher's made sure she got to experience as much as she could.

Ms Shelby put together lots of interesting experiences with food. We think she topped her Halloween pumpkin walk (remember Cameron inside the pumpkin?) this week with a jello pool (yes, a pool full of jello), and swimming through the noodles (yes, a pool full of spaghetti and other funny pasta shapes).

Cameron enjoyed the bubble bath, but did not really enjoy the digging in the dirt and mud. She also didn't really enjoy the petting zoo because for some reason all the animals stayed on the grass, and we all know how Cameron feels about grass. That's right, not a big fan.

Cameron did enjoy the jump house with Ms Nicole and Ms Kristen's crazy outfit on western day. She also got to spend more time with her new teacher Ms Marie. It was a great week with lots of new and exciting experiences. We have the greatest teachers and hope they know how much we appreciate all they do for Cameron.

Splish Splash I was taking a bath!

Bath time is so much fun! I play dress up and spash with my toys!

I make funny, funny faces that make mommy and daddy laugh.

This smile allows you to see my new teeth that are showing up on top.

The new teeth allow me to eat my duck.

But bath time is not always about fun. I've learned the hard way that jumping up and down can have interesting consequences. Thank goodness for my swim class, I know to close my eyes and hold my breath!

Have you seen my car???

So to help me with my walking, Mommy got me a push ride toy from our neighbor, Ms Diana. Although its used, I love it. Its a classic and that is just my style.

Its red with Blue and Yellow trim. Its definitely a hot rod. I try and ride it but can't really reach the floor yet. It works great if mommy or daddy push it.

But when they can't, I push it! Its great practice for my walking, and I can get around a lot faster. In fact I go from the den to the front of the house in record time.

PJ has to get out of the way fast. I'm so fast there is not much to stop me. I just bulldoze right through all my toys that might try and block me. Its really funny when Daddy chases after me.

Yeah for my car, let's all clap!

Happy Birthday PJ!!

Today is PJ's 3rd birthday. It was a day all about PJ. We woke up early and went on a long hike. PJ ran all around, and up and down the levee. He was very happy to get all the attention.

Ellie dropped off several bones and a nice happy birthday note. It was a day filled with fun and lots of running.

And then it was time for the traditional bone and peanut butter cake. Unlike the first year where PJ blew out the candle, he did not like the candles this year at all. We had to sing very fast and blow them out for him to even get close. Cameron was very excited by the puppy cake and cheered as we sang.

Finally when PJ got the okay to dig in, he moved very quick. Cameron was amazed at how quickly the 3-tier cookie cake disappeared. In fact, we all were!

Happy Birthday Mommy!

I wanted to surprise Mommy on her birthday. First I secretly made her a card with the help of my teachers. We worked on it all week to make sure it was ready. My teachers made sure I was cleaned up so that there was no trace of the paint. Mommy is very good at figuring out her surprises.

Next surprise was I had daddy get a giant bag and tell Mommy he had something very special for her. As soon as mommy was ready for her super special surprise, I jumped out of the bag!

But seriously, I stayed with a babysitter so that mommy and daddy could go out for a special date. But before mommy left, I took 4 more steps and I also continued to practice saying "mommy." I said it the first time on the 9th and it made mommy very, very happy. I was trying to save that as a surprise, but when she left the room I had to scream it just so she would come back. hee, hee!

Happy Easter Cameron

It was a great Easter. We had Easter brunch at D&Bs where Cameron met the Easter Bunny and dyed Easter eggs. She also enjoyed her first buffet. I think she liked it as much as Daddy did.
She got a little Easter basket filled with toys, candy, and a giant bunny balloon. There were so many great Easter moments that we had to create a photo album. See all the excitement from Easter morning in the web album.
Even PJ had a great Easter. After this humilating moment where we made him wear the bunny ears....

He got to enjoy all the Easter eggs that Cameron dyed. Oh, and of course the eggs were pink!
