Dog Day Afternoon

PJ had a guest over this weekend. Ellie came to stay with us while her parents were out of town. The dogs had a fantastic weekend.

They chased each other all over the park at Sun. They played with sticks and balls and chased squirrels. They even went after one of the landscapers who caught them by surprise by turning on the sprinklers.

PJ was sorry when the visit was over, but he took a few days to sleep it off. He can't wait until he gets to go to Ellie's house for a week and a half!!!

Cameron can Crawl!!!

Cameron is on the go!! She is really crawling and there is no keeping her down. She pulls up on everything, even daddy.

Cameron loves hanging out with daddy. He even let her play with his xmas legos. Jeff put together his Boeing Lego plane and then let Cameron check it out. I think she really likes planes.

Back to School

The holidays were fun but it was great to get back to school. On our first week back we experimented with painting with paint-ice. Is this what they mean by water-colors? It was cold and yummy. The red and blue ice turned out pink and pale blue, it look like a very pretty sky. Its now hanging on the refridgerator at home.

Cameron did get some bad news upon returning to school. Her teacher Ms Chan is leaving the kinderplex. She has returned to big-school to finish her last semester and complete her credentials. Ms Chan can take the credit for Cameron's love of books. Cameron is very good with her books flipping the pages and looking at each of the pictures. She always sat quietly while Ms Chan read to the class. Mommy wishes she would do that for her, but Cameron insits on holding the book and flipping the pages herself while at home.

Cameron also reached a milestone. She can now go from laying down to sitting up all by herself. This is a big relief to mommy and daddy. She can now go from situp to down, rollover, and get back up. Its very funny to see her practice. She should be crawling very soon.

Happy New Year Cameron

It was a late night for Cameron. She insisted on staying up to watch the ball drop, and welcome in her first new years. We spent the evening hosting dinner and a night of games for Sonya & David, and Tim & Tim. The Tims gave Cameron her own set of cards so she was very happy.

On New Years day we bundled up and went to the park down the street. Cameron enjoyed the swing as usual but also tried out the rocking whale and the slide. The rocker she liked and giggled with glee. The slide on the other hand was a different story. Cameron does not like to be out of control and so the slide was not what she expected. Even still she did not cry, just wanted to go back to the swing.

PJ was a big hit at the park. All the kids left their toys and lined up to greet the giant dog. He was very tolerant, even when they grabbed his face and pulled his hair. A few of the kids were even lucky enough to get a lick, although I think that was due to the candy they were eating.

Jeff and I are so lucky to have such a good baby and dog. We think 2007 will be a very good year!
