The Day After....

What is there to do the day after Christmas. Well.....Play!!!!! Cameron played with all of her toys. She strolled the babies around the house....Back & Forth, Back & Forth, Back & Forth...

She played with Cookie monster, making him giggle, and roll over, again & again. Then gave him lots of kisses.

She taught her babies how to drink from a cup. She thought they were too old for the bottle so she shared her milk with them. Of course when they spilled the milk, she took a baby wipe and cleaned them all up.

She also cooked us dinner. We had fried cheerios and she baked a chicken for us. Of course the way you tell if a chicken is done is you squeeze it, but this one kept saying "Cock-a-doodle-doo", oh well I guess its left overs!

Merry Christmas!!

It was a good Christmas for all of us. Cameron had a great Christmas. She got a kitchen set and a baby and stroller, books, candy, and socks from Santa.
She was so busy with all the things that Santa brought it was hard for us to convince her that the wrapped presents were just as good. We literally had to pry her away to open the gifts. One of the gifts was a new baby and she immediately threw the baby from Santa out of the stroller to replace it from the one she got from Grandpa and Ma-mere.

Once she realized that opening presents were fun she really got into it. She helped Daddy open his and PJ open his. PJ and Ellie were very excited to get their gifts which included a new red ball, rawhide, chew toy, a stocking full of milk bones.

Uncle Greg and Aunt Juliet stopped by on their way out of town to drop off a gift to Cameron. She got a "Tickle me Cookie Monster" which cracked her up. She had both Cookie Monster and Elmo going at the same time. (Uh....Thanks for that!)

After all the present and while dinner finished up we took the dogs out to play with their new toys. PJ and Ellie played a little soccer and got good and tired before our guests arrived. We had the Tims and Grandma Cindy over for dinner and had lots of fun. Cameron had so much fun she forgot about taking a nap so was completely wired by the time Cookie, Chip and Mikey came to open gifts. She finally went to sleep at 11pm. Hopefully she will sleep in.

Parachutes are cool!

Cameron's class have been playing with a giant colorful parachute. Cameron helped raise it up high and then went running underneath it with her friend David. That was great fun and caused lots of giggles and screams.

Then it was time to try playing on top of the parachute. She jumped into the center and then everyone shook the parachute and she tried to climb over the big puffs and hills. It caused lots of rolling and tumbling.

She even had a good time shaking the parachute as the other kids took their turns running around the center and underneath. It was funny to watch her friends roll over and tumble as she shook the parachute.

Decorating in Carmel

We went to visit Grandma Cindy in Carmel and helped her decorate for Christmas. The Nutcrackers were all setup but Cameron helped put on the elves and decorate the tree.

Grandma Cindy showed her all the different decorations and Cameron put them on the tree. She chose every spot and Grandma Cindy didn't make any changes. Grandma Cindy got a new Christmas pyramid so she gave us the Hansel and Gretle pyramid from East Germany that Jeff grew up with. Cameron thought it was very fun.

After lunch we took a hike up the hill to the water tower behind Grandma Cindy's apartment. We found some golf balls which Cameron threw and chased up and down the hill. It was a fun day.

Surprise!!!

It was a surprise to all of us. I've been feeling really tired but no other signs that we had another baby on the way. During a visit to the doctor it was determined that we were almost done with the first trimester!!!

We told Cameron she would be getting a baby for her birthday and she was really excited. We're pretty sure she isn't exactly sure of what that means, but she does tell you that Mommy has a baby in her tummy, and she has been practicing taking care of a baby at school.

We will find out the sex of the baby mid-January and are hoping to schedule the birth for June 1, which will mean another June baby, (a week before Cameron, two weeks before Daddy) but the doctor's want to schedule it on the Monday rather than the weekend....

Thanksgiving or is it Xmas???

We went to New Orleans for Thanksgiving. We spent a lot of time at Maw,Maw's house and everyone came over on Thanksgiving and cooked all day. Mommy didn't cook at all but that was probably for the best, she was on cleanup duty.

We went downtown to see some of the Christmas decorations. I saw reindeer, and Santa Claus (Ho,Ho,Ho) and spent some time with my cousins and aunts. It was very cold out but the most exciting thing was the winter wonderland street.

It was very pretty and every hour it began to snow. Mommy said it wasn't real snow but it really looked pretty. My Aunt Yvette showed me all around and I liked her very much. We tried to catch the snow flakes but we didn't eat them like you would real snow because the snowflakes were made of soap.

I think I liked the city very much. In fact I found a thrown that seemed to suit me perfectly. I can't wait until we visit again.

Grandpa and MaMere's visit

This week I had my grandparents for a visit. We had lots of fun and took lots of walks around the neighborhood. They pushed me in my car and Mommy and Daddy were surprised that I stayed in my car for the whole walk. I just enjoyed being with them so I let them push me around.
Grandpa must have found out about how much I liked ice cream because he went to Baskin and Robbins and got me my own. It was very yummy and it might have been the best part of the visit.... Ha,Ha just kidding.

It had been a long time since I've gotten to see my Grandpa and I liked it very much.

Happy Halloween

Halloween is lots of fun. You get to paint pumpkins and make pumpkin pie. I painted 3 pumpkins and PJ painted one too, although mostly he licked the paint and tried to bite the pumpkin.

At school we had a parade where everyone wore costumes including our teachers. One of my teachers was a kitty and the other a Pirate!

I was an astronaut and my two best friends were a teddy bear and a football player. Grandpa came to school with me and met all my teachers and friends.

But after school was when the real fun started. Our house was very very scary (to others). We had spiders crawling on webs and monsters and mummies in the front of the house.

We had ghosts up the driveway and a big scary witch flying down. We had our usual crowd of trick-or-treaters!!! We had several hundred people stop by our house and take pictures and ask for candy. I only went to one house, Turtle and Tim's. There house was also very scary and brought in a big crowd too. I've decided that chocolate is a good thing.

More Fun with the cousins

I've been having soooo much fun with my cousins. We've gone to a school fair and a pumpkin patch. Mommy finished her conference and joined us for a really fun day at a local park/zoo. Before meeting all the animals we had my very first picnic. It was lots of fun and Ben and I sang "Old Mac Donald had a farm" (actually Ben sang and I added the E-I-E-I-O.

For a snack Ben introduced me to ice cream cones. I have to say this is the best thing ever. He was very generous with his and taught me what it means to share. I also got some of Daddy's, Mommy's and Sophia's.

Sophia was very adventurous. She showed me how to climb and even went up a tree. I didn't try the tree but I did try the hill. Sophia and Ben rolled down the hill but I just asked Mommy to come get me.

We saw lots of animals and walked all around the park. It was another really great day!!

Visiting Cousins

Mommy decided to go to a conference for work so Daddy and I decided we also should go somewhere. We hopped on an airplane (my favorite) and went to Virginia to meet my cousins. Ben was great fun and he introduced me to his friends and showed me around their house.

Ben also showed me all of there toys including this really cool Jeep. Ben was a very safe driver and explained to me how to hold on. Ben also read me stories and played with me on the swing.

I also met my cousin Sophia, who is very pretty and has lots of hair. I don't think I will ever have that much hair. We played together a lot. She has lots of nice toys. She is a very good artist and I think I picked up some tips from her.

Sophia also took me for a ride in the Jeep. She drives very very fast and I nearly fell out. Riding with Sophia was very exciting and I screamed with glee from all the quick turns and racing around the cul-de-sac.

Spaghetti is my favorite

So each week we have the neighbors and some friends over for take-night. We often have chinese, pizza, etc, but occasionally we get SPAGHETTI!!!!!

I'm now old enough to take of feeding myself and SPAGHETTI is the most fun of all. I like to slurp up the noodles so I don't bother with a fork. It just takes time and I can get more in my mouth if I use my hands.

The only thing that makes SPAGHETTI better is having an audience. I think that Spaghetti night is everybody's favorite, because they seem to enjoy it too, at least they laugh a lot during dinner.

Mommy runs a race

After months of training weekends with her running group the Red Power Divas and her running partner Joanie S, mommy completed her first half marathon. The morning started really early and very cold but enthusiasm was high for the team in red. There were more than 100 women who committed to train for this event for no other reason than to accomplish a goal and improve their health in the process.

Mommy and Joanie, neither or which were enthusiastic runners in the beginning worked hard together to improve their ability to run for an extended amount of time. In the process each finished their first 5K, 10K, and finally the half marathon. After more than 5 stops during the race to go to the potty (she really took getting hydrated seriously), mommy and Joanie finished in under 3 hours.

I was made an honorary diva and attended all of the events including the kick off party for the race where we all carb-loaded (that was great!!!). I was very supportive, even occasionally training with mommy when mommy felt like pushing the stroller during her run. I liked when she ran fast so I made lots of noise to tell her to "Keep It Up"!!!

After it was over, we were all very happy. I have the #1 mommy!!!

San Francisco Zoo

Today we took Cameron to the zoo. She was very interested in all the animals. She pointed and tried to repeat their names. She thought the ostrich was very interesting and it made her laugh.

She was talking a lot and didn't want to be in the stoller a lot because she needed to be able to jump out and see what was next. It was a cool but very sunny day. We tried very hard to keep Cameron's hat on, but she wasn't having it.

While looking at the zebras and giraffes she decided to take off her hat and throw it into the African safari enclosure. We watched helplessly as it sunk to the bottom of the water feature. Unfortunately for Cameron, I had a backup.

Although she liked all of the animals, she especially liked the ducks. She laughed and jumped around when the ducks came and ate the food out of my hand. She wouldn't let them get near her hand, but she loved to watch them swim around and around the pool. You can see more pictures of our zoo visit here.
